Student Leadership Symposium

The FHS Student Leadership Symposium is made up of over forty student leaders, including students participating in Athletics as well as Clubs & Activities. During the two meetings held so far this year, most recently on February 21st, student leaders were organized into common interest groups and challenged to use their leadership to help all members of the FHS community to find a sense of belonging, transfer their leadership into something greater, and to leave a legacy in our community. Guest speakers included FPS Assistant Superintendent of Finance & Operations, Dr. Scott Hurwitz, Executive Director of Farmington Libraries, Ms. Jocelyn Kennedy and FHS Boys’ Basketball Coach and Retired FHS Teacher, Mr. Duane Witter.  The symposium is planned by student leaders and supported by FHS Director of Student Activities, Mr. Chris Loomis.  Each group has planned projects that will positively impact our school and greater community in the near future.
