Commitment to Accessibility

The district annually audits of all our published content to ensure ADA compliance in accordance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA. This audit will catalog, but is not limited to, the following areas

  • Review images and links for accurate and useful tags and descriptions.
  • Review posted forms and documents for legibility.
  • Identify awkward or difficult site navigation.
  • Identify broken links.

We strive to ensure that our services are accessible to people with disabilities. We have invested a significant number of resources to help ensure that our website is made easier to use and more accessible for people with disabilities, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort, and independence.

Testing

Despite our efforts to make all pages and content fully accessible, some content may not have been fully adapted yet to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution. We perform ongoing manual accessibility tests with outside resources and perform inhouse testing with assistive technology. If we are notified of an accessibility issue from a native user of assistive technology, we promptly address those issues.

Here For You

If you are having trouble accessing any content on our site and require assistance with any part of our site or would like to report an issue please contact Matthew Ross, Director of Technology at rossm@fpsct.org.
