De acordo com o NCWIT, o Award for Aspirations in Computing (AiC) distingue 9<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-12<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  classifica as mulheres, os estudantes genderqueer e n\u00e3o-bin\u00e1rios pelas suas realiza\u00e7\u00f5es e interesses relacionados com a inform\u00e1tica e incentiva-os a perseguir as suas paix\u00f5es. Os premiados s\u00e3o seleccionados com base na sua aptid\u00e3o e aspira\u00e7\u00f5es em tecnologia e inform\u00e1tica, demonstradas pela sua experi\u00eancia em inform\u00e1tica, actividades relacionadas com a inform\u00e1tica, experi\u00eancia de lideran\u00e7a, tenacidade face \u00e0s barreiras de acesso e planos para o ensino p\u00f3s-secund\u00e1rio. Tr\u00eas alunos da FHS foram reconhecidos a n\u00edvel nacional como Men\u00e7\u00f5es Honrosas.  <\/span><i>\n  <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Os premiados foram homenageados na celebra\u00e7\u00e3o dos pr\u00e9mios AiC na segunda-feira, 15 de abril, na sede da Travelers Connecticut em Hartford, CT (Ver <\/span>\n<\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspirations.org\/affiliate\/connecticut\">\n  <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/www.aspirations.org\/affiliate\/connecticut<\/span>\n<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">). <\/span> <\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cada uma das vencedoras receber\u00e1 reconhecimento e pr\u00e9mios, integra\u00e7\u00e3o numa comunidade de mais de 15.000 mulheres t\u00e9cnicas, acesso a recursos e bolsas de estudo e oportunidades de est\u00e1gio. &#8220;<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c9 fundamental encorajar os estudantes que, historicamente, t\u00eam estado sub-representados nas \u00e1reas tecnol\u00f3gicas. A inform\u00e1tica est\u00e1 na base de um n\u00famero crescente de produtos e sistemas que utilizamos todos os dias e, para garantir que s\u00e3o ben\u00e9ficos para o maior n\u00famero poss\u00edvel de pessoas, \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio que um grupo diversificado de pessoas os sonhe e depois os crie<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,&#8221; afirmou o CEO e Diretor Executivo do NCWIT, Terry Hogan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O National Center for Women &amp; Information Technology (NCWIT) \u00e9 uma comunidade sem fins lucrativos de mais de 1.240 universidades, empresas, organiza\u00e7\u00f5es sem fins lucrativos e organiza\u00e7\u00f5es governamentais de todo o pa\u00eds que trabalham para aumentar a participa\u00e7\u00e3o das mulheres na inform\u00e1tica e na tecnologia. O NCWIT equipa os l\u00edderes de mudan\u00e7a com recursos para agir no recrutamento, reten\u00e7\u00e3o e promo\u00e7\u00e3o de mulheres do ensino b\u00e1sico e superior atrav\u00e9s de carreiras industriais e empresariais.
