The Farmington Music Department provides opportunities for students to experience community service, college, and career exploration.Guest speakers and field trips are provided for career exploration. Our high school ensembles regularly perform at area universities mentored by college professors performing with college students. The opportunity to perform together, discuss college life and tour the campus are key learning experiences for our musicians as they look ahead.

Additionally the music department is committed to promoting citizenship through community service involvement. Student musicians regularly share their talents with community groups such as the senior center, veterans, social services, the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce and area museums. Below hear an original music jingle created by students to promote the town blood drive for the Red Cross.

Farmington Public Schools including Farmington Collaborative Preschool and Farmington Continuing Education are closed on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 due to inclement weather.

EXCL will be opened with modified hours. EXCL will operate from 12:00 - 5:00 PM at Noah Wallace School for students who have pre-enrolled in the 2023-2024 Inclement Weather Program.
